Not quite drills or reamers, nor even in the conventional sense drill reamers, these tools are designed to drill
accurate, clean holes in composite materials directly from the solid, and have therefore earned themselves the
appropriate name of 'one-shot' drills. Particularly suited to machining of carbon-fibre and graphite-epoxy, where
the tool design leads to reduction or elimination of delamination problems and breakout burr.

•U60A will be replaced as stock standard by U60B. Straight fluted tools will be available at
standard prices while stocks last, after which they may be subject to a minimum order quantity.
**As 'drill reamers' these tools are normally supplied to a default tolerance suitable for H7 holes (reference DIN1420) However, in carbon fibre and some other
composite materials, shrinkage or closing-in of the hole after working may mean than oversize tools should be considered. A pilot hole may be considered
in some circumstances, for improved positional accuracy.
