Robust tools with the front portion only tapered (at approx 1:10) and the remainder parallel. Suitable for opening out existing badly-aligned holes, especially in structural work. Known also as rivet hole reamers, or alignment reamers.
*These sizes have a Morse Taper Shank one size larger than would be normal in a standard parallel reamer. This is in recognition of the very heavy duty work often required of Bridge Reamers. The two popular sizes in the lower panels are tools stocked with a taper shank one size less, to fit in a smaller holder. Please be sure to specify the No.2 MT shank verison if this is required option.

Taper Bridge Reamers are ideal tools for heavy rivet, bolt hole and re-alignment work, but they need an equally heavy duty machine and, usually,
plenty of space. Where either is not available, No. 430 Car Reamers or No. 431 TT Reamers might just do the job.
