Originally designed for the railroad-car manufacturing industry in North America, these tools have a much wider range
of applications because of their ruggedness and versatility. Very useful for sizing or aligning badly-matched holes
on-site, they are much shorter than conventional taper bridge reamers (No. 448) and can be used in half- inch/13mm 
capacity chucks in portable drilling equipment.
