Bores with standard keyway (BSS122 or DIN 138)                                                                    DIN884 Type W

Cutters for general-purpose metal removal in light, free-cutting alloys. As standard, they do not have side teeth

and therefore are suitable for milling surfaces no wider than the face of the tool– they are unsuitable for slots.
They have quicker spiral and larger rakes and clearances than series 501 cutters and are designed to provide a
good milled surface finish at high rates of cut in aluminium and other light, free cutting materials.

Note - these tools are no longer being made for stock, although large stocks currently exist. They may be made to

special order. Existing stocks similar to a requirement may be available and can be offered - please enquire.

To those shown above may be supplied.

Special helical mills may be supplied to dimensions other than those shown, the quantity ordered determining the unit price.
Non-standard features which may be specified include teeth with side clearance, radiused or chamfered corners, tooth faces including
chipbreakers, and mills in M35 or M42 cobalt material. Cutters may be manufactured as interlocking, which increases the useful
face width.
