A8xx Oil toughened sockets are externally precision ground only and are tang hardened.

A9xx Extension sockets are fully hardened and ground both internally and externally.

Extension sockets for adapting drill shanks to larger or smaller morse taper drilling spindles tool end of socket will suit all 
tool shanks according to DIN228 with tang, and BS1660. Equipped with two drift holes for access of ejecting drift. When 
using sockets to increase the capacity of the drilling spindle, it is important to be sure that the power of the machine will
be sufficient to drive the larger tool and assembly.
