M2 High Speed Steel Straight teeth radial to centre BSS 122 part 1 (1953) (Fractional)
Bores with standard keyway (BSS122 or DIN 138) DIN1823A (Metric)
Cutters for producing angled slots in ferrous and some non-ferrous materials. Cutting teeth are on the angled
face and the longer straight side. Suitable for making angled profiles including dovetails and bevels.
Most standard sizes are held in stock in both right and left hand, and include sizes frequently used
in the manufacture of processing equipment in the tea and sugar industries. Special angle cutters may be
quickly produced to customer specifications, including those used in proprietary pipe-cutting equipment and
many other specialist applications.
By convention, German and some other manufacturers will always make right hand cutters as a default
style, and therefore left handed angle cutters are more unusual in metric and little stock is held.
*The number of teeth shown is that used in normal practice in UK. Occasionally, tools with slightly different numbers of
teeth may be in stock and these will be provided when available
The following similar tools may be supplied to special order: the quantity ordered determines the unit price:
Unlisted diameters, angles and bore sizes Cutters to customer drawings
Cutters in cobalt or PM-material Cutters in solid carbide
Cutters with brazed carbide tips
Cutters with radiused tips - a small radius may be routinely applied where it is necessary to break the sharpness of the tip -
however, where the tip radius is sufficiently large or is required to make a controlled shape, form relief of the shape is recommended.
Special geometry cutters optimised for cutting particular materials.
Cutters matched closely on diameter for use in gangs, full details will be required.
